Yellow Pages, a brand under TM Info-Media Sdn Bhd (TMIM), today released its new and highly anticipated 2010 edition. The release coincided with the distribution of the directory at Damansara Uptown, where 5,000 copies were given away free of charge to customers and neighbouring businesses. Beginning September 2009, TMIM is expected to distribute more than 1.5 million copies of its Yellow Pages directory nationwide.

The new 2010 edition of Yellow Pages boasts thousands of advertisers and business listings. The annually-published directory also contains many useful public information, such as detailed road maps, monorail guides, calendar and holiday schedule, government contact list, and advertorial sections. The 2010 Yellow Pages will first be distributed in the central region, namely Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, starting September and will expand to the other states within 2 months. Yellow Pages will also be available at flagship TMPoints, selected Petronas stations, while companies will receive them via door-to-door delivery.

TMIM continues its emphasis on being the market leader in directory advertising with more than 1.5 million directories in circulation and over 5 million readers. Commenting on the release of the new directory, TMIM's Chief Executive Officer, En. Nasaruddin Mohd Zaini said, "The release of our new 2010 edition marks our new approach to becoming closer to our existing and potential customers, while strengthening our position as market leader in the directory advertising segment. Expect more exciting things to come from Yellow Pages in the near future."  The public may also download digital copies of the new Yellow Pages via www.yellowpages.com.my.

Although Malaysia's overall advertising expenditure (ADEX) has declined and many other alternative advertising mediums have surfaced, Yellow Pages remained a viable, long-term and effective advertising avenue for small and medium sized businesses. Firstly, its high circulation throughout Malaysia ensures the highest reach and visibility for its advertisers. Secondly, Yellow Pages works 24-hours a day, 7-days a week and 365-days a year. Its advertisements have the longest life span compared to other mediums, such as television, radio, newspapers, magazines, and others. This gives advertisers the best value for money at the most affordable prices.

TMIM is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM).
